Dibs on green!
First game
This looks difficult... I'll take Black!
You would think that the person who made a group intended for 4 way chess would be good at it, but no. In fact this will be my first game! I feel like just as much a newbie as you do. As we play more games and get better, we will start discussing various openings and endgame situations that are unique to chess 4.
I'll take white, I guess. Also, can others who wish to participate join teams after the game has started?
Also, are we playing team chess in which you sit across from your teammate and can't capture his pieces (no communication between the 2) and try to checkmate the other 2? Or are we playing individual?

Once more people join, we will start doing team games and multiple games at once.
I'll go with l10. The Nimzo-Larsen. The notation on 14 by 14 board is pretty tricky so be careful when typing in your move. It's pretty cool that the larger chess board with corners cut off still has the rooks on the long diagonal.
Sorry I'm taking so long to update the board. I am sorry to say that the chess.com image uploader is not in optimal condition.
edit: OK I need to remember to say each position under a seperate name, instead of replacing them with the same image name. Somehow it remembers an original image even after I delete it and replace it with a new one.
Also I color coded the move list so it is easier to read. Do you think it's better this way, or should I change it back?
Game over. Oinquarki won by checkmate. BigOto came in second place.
This will be the first 4 way chess game on chess.com! (Unless somebody beat me to the idea, but I don't think anybody did. I checked before starting this group.)
White goes first, then green, then black, and then red. When you checkmate a king you can either take control of the army (beware: if one of the kings is checkmated or if both are attacked in one turn, you are out completely. Also if you do this, you do not recieve double turns.) or if are not a risk taker, you may leave the pieces inert (that means they do nothing). Post your move using algebraic notation. The first post (this one) will have a move list and a picture of the board. Every time I see a new post, I will update the picture of the board and turn it so that the side who's turn it is comes up in front. Make sure you track this topic so that you know when it is your move. As soon as you join the game post something so that I know. The game will begin as soon as we have 4 people ready to go. Have fun!
