First Openings

So, what sort of openings were you planning on looking at first? Post 'em here if you would! 

Let's start with the Slav (D10).  Any objections?

D10... According to my ECO guide that is 1. d4 d5 2. c4 c6

Correct?

If so, I don't object. 

Ok.  Slav!  Supposed to be a great alternative to Queen's Gambit Declined, is that right?

So, how are we going to play these games? All I know is, they'll be unrated.

good idea.  anyone can challenge me and we can discuss the moves as we go along?  In fact...I have an idea...how about each person just puts a list of openings they are interested in...and anyone can challenge them to an Unrated game of any of those openings?

1.  Ruy Lopez

EVERYTHING

2.  Italian Game

classical defense, two knights defense

3.  Sicilian Defense

najdorf, dragon, sveshnikov, kalashnikov

4.  Latvian Gambit
