The reason for gap of four weeks per match is if you had them every week you could end up with a lot of matches on the go, while i understand what you are saying this is the first year at this format and at the end of it we will look and see if need to make any changes for next year, It a bit late in the day to change the format now.
Is there a set format for these games? ie how many days per move/players
Also as this is postal chess, why is there a delay of 1 month for each round? this will not get finished until well into 2012. I propose a delay of 1 week for each round.
