Forum Rules

1. No Advertising: Advertising is defined as mentioning or linking to any of the following:
   • Content in chess.com outside of the Wings of Chess club
   • Content outside of chess.com that was created by you
   • Content outside of chess.com that you have a vested interest in promoting
2. No Spamming: Spamming is defined as:
   • Creating an off-topic forum more than once every three hours
   • Creating an off-topic forum on the same subject more than once every 24 hours
   • Creating an RP forum on the same subject as another RP forum that hasn't been approved or denied within four hours of the other RP forum's posting
   • Creating an RP forum on the same subject as another RP forum that was denied within two hours of its denial
   • Creating a forum that contains a link, picture or GIF to Rick Astley's song Never Gonna Give You Up more than once per week.
   • Creating a petition on a topic which was already created by any other member in the club, and is still ongoing (has not failed or succeeded).
   • Creating a petition on a failed topic within three weeks of its failure.
   • Creating a petition on a topic which has already succeeded previously.
3. No useless or unwanted forums: To break this rule, a forum must be classified as at least one of useless or unwanted
   1. Useless is defined as:
      • A forum that does not help the club, advance the RP, or promote positive discussion in any significant way
   2. Unwanted is defined as:
      • A forum that no other member of the club has expressed a desire for, or that at least 3/4 of the members who have commented on it have expressed antipathy towards
4. Lore Forum tag - Lore Forums must have an [L] written beside their title, so that the SAs can identify from the notifications quickly and give rapid approval.

These rules can be amended at any time by any of the SAs.

Punishments for breaking the rules are subject to the discretion of the SAs.

Additionally, forums that significantly contribute to the club will be rewarded with scales.
