When I start a 4 player chess match lobby, sometimes a person is there for a few seconds the instant I open it. About 10 seconds later they disappear like they were never there. Is this common?

I think it might be it counting a person from a previous round as a person who is there but not there in the current round

Most likely the were looking to see if anyone else was there and left just as you got there.
