Map update will come out in a few hours, UN event details tomorrow. Had to do some last minute covering for an event but it will be over tomorrow. From then I will be guaranteed active until Aug 29th to Sep 1st when I have a tournament.

For the upcoming event, we need 7 clubs. Know that you will be fighting at least 1 VC match, and a good chance of a 2nd as well.

Full Details: An evil space lord has taken control of A14, B14, A15, and B15. The United Nations has thus called on any available nations in the area to surround and defeat the warlord. Each of the 7 total clubs participating will have the have to fight to make their way to the enemy stronghold in the very corner of the map, A15. To get there, they must defeat forces in either A14, B14, or B15, depending on which one of those they attack. Attacks will be VC matches against a club with only the warlord in it. Whoever defeats the warlord first will gain all four of the squares.

Map update is out. Each club that registers for the event will be given a starting square (for those that already signed up, you have been given one). You will be able to keep the starting square even after the event ends. Currently three spots left, so get your club in quickly if you haven't! The benefits to signing up for this event are obviously a free guaranteed square, as well as 4 extra squares if your club wins the event.

Promote to King enters the event.

Just one thing: the 4 squares are not in contact with the UN forces. There's the 13 column and C line in between. Is that correct?

Anything in a 3x3 box in the top right corner is part of the event. This includes the UN box (reduced to 2x2) and all the squares surrounding it.

As allied forces, are the UN clubs prohibited from attacking each other on those square until the event is over... Or not?

Right, but my club in D13 is not in contact with either A14, B14, or B15.

Why was Chess is Fun club not put on the map with an extra square? I was second to register.

I mixed up Chess is Fun with Fun of Chess... fixing that right now and adding CIFC in.

All spots for the event have now been filled. For those clubs that missed out, there is a good chance that I will be doing another run of this contest in another area of the map, so you will get priority over the clubs that are in this one right now.

For all clubs in the event currently, please expect VC challenges being issued to your club. Games will start at 12:00 PM Eastern this Saturday. There are no restrictions on how many players you can have on your side or their ratings.
