This game was crazy... I'm glad I got the brilliant but I do think it's fairly obvious.

When I played my first games here around september of last year, I didn't know rooks were more valuable than normal pieces so I blundered both my rooks every game, I also didn't know castling existed, so I didn't castle in any game up to maybe a month later lol. So your game looks like a normal first game to me xD

Fun OTB game I played at a weekly a few days ago. I'm actually not that comfortable against the french, but they employed a strange variation I hadn't seen and I found a nice initiative with an early sac!

true, blundering a knight is surely better than blundering both rooks and not castling XD

I had a very simillar experience. I used to block bishop checks with rooks when castled, thinking it was a good trade, lol

Interesting trend let me look for my first game from this account. I had another account in 2020 but that will be a hastle to find
hahahaha, worst I've gotten playing sober and seriously has been 27 or smth like that, and my opponent just drew by repetition whenc ompletely winning
just got humiliated by my opponent in the worst way because he play that opening xD

My opponet resgined immediately after they played 21.…Rd8. I didn't saw the rook was hanging and was going to play Kc1. Then they resgined and I was wondering why and then I saw I could have taken the rook 😂
Returned to 2000 elo with the alien gambit
Alien Gambit is one of my favourite responses against Caro-Kann, the only reason I stopped playing it so frequently was because after a long time of playing always Alien Gambit against Caro-Kann I had no line against Caro-Kann anymore, because it is really nice for rapid and blitz but it is crazy for Classical unless you are WittyAlien. So I got the line I showed in my video and I am trying to play it always to train more with it, but sometimes I just play Alien Gambit just because it is so fun
I'm worried about that too. Can you suggest a line to play against the Caro?
