I'm not a big fan of the subtle and monochrome icons. Much prefer the icons on the v2 site. Going to a mobile / social centric design is taking a huge risk that the PC users will be confused, frustrated, and alienated. I have more specific non-bug feedback on this, this is just the immediate first impression.

Frankly, I think if the community is forced to use V3 we would see a revolt. The computer is not a mobile device and people hate being forced to dumb down sites.
A good example is the News page. Its no comparison to the current main page.
People don't want dumbed down and the feedback is going to be bad. Think Windows 8, except on a chess site.
As testers we have a commitment to keep our ideas and throughts on this forum only. But before long the entire chess.com community will respond to V3 when its rolled out.
And the feedback will be swift and honest. Its the way of the internet.
