On a very general note, I use this website on two conventional laptop computers with horizontally wide screens (one aspect ratio is close to 2:1, the other is closer to 1.5:1). By chosing a narrow vertical layout for most pages on the site, you are forcing me to waste a good 50% of my screen real estate and I am constantly scrolling up and down to find stuff. While I realize this might be a "cool look" it seems kind of counterproductive from a usability standpoint. Below is typical for my taller screen; it's even worse for the other (2:1) laptop. You can see that the scroll bar indicates that you're only displaying half of the available page, even though my screen is half black. This might be good for one of those new-fangled apple computers with the up-and-down screens but for us who live out in the sticks, so to speak, it ain't so great.
