saw the video, think its a pretty cool idea
Gravachess
Also you cannot kill pieces when you fall down, because this might violate the rules where there is never a lot of kills in a move (Chessformer lets you kill everything, but imagine getting a rook into the last row and you win by falling down and kill the king), and this version falls to the left or right, not down.

I’m sure this is a fun gamerule, but 1. It will be very chaotic, 2. It is really hard to code onto the server(trust. I’m a programmer) 3. There’s already a forum for suggestions like these
Then,
I guess you may just make a list [a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h], and then change some kind of indexes until the next index got a chess piece and something like that, hope it helps, I'm not actually a coder, and remember to rewatch the video to understand where you get to.

Technicniy, that is my thinking for how this is gonna work, prob gonna be more complex then that if falling into check is posible as some algorithms needed to be used

i do have this algorithm in my mind, i could prob make it posible in a few weeks, but for chess.com staffs that would be tougher as the defalut setup bans walking into check(sry for the bad english)

Dear CGA team members,
My friend (@KTL-taminhquang140514) and I thought of a new chess variant. It's called Gravachess. This is simply chess, but there is gravity. You have options to choose the directions where the pieces are supposed to fall. Then, after each move, from both teams, all of the chess pieces must fall to that side of the board. If a chess piece touch the edge of the board, or touch another chess piece, they stop.
This is a small video of my friend uploaded on the Youtube channel @MinhQuangTa-sy5vv in which he plays Gravachess, but there is a change where the first and last row pieces swapped places like Chess960: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aq7EiFUo-KU
I sincerely thank you for reading this post. Credits go to @KTL-taminhquang140514 and me, @tnphong79.
