I'm going to highlight some great wins by those who swept their opponent in the important TMCL match against Adelaide: https://www.chess.com/club/matches/1675699

First, check out our admin Jack with this beautiful checkmate after 69 moves

We all know Reznor is a great King of the Hill player. His opponent must have thought he was playing KOTH. Look at this checkmate near the hill (https://www.chess.com/game/daily/706496383):
Check out Tavovsky playing against one of the Botez sisters on their alt account

Different game, similar 'fossilization' (https://www.chess.com/game/daily/706496443)

AussieJohn56 won a queen by force against his countryman (see below) and got an easy sweep.

Maohi_98's brilliancy (https://www.chess.com/game/daily/706496319), sac'ing a knight for a pawn:

@ginip1 got this beautiful knight checkmate 'en route' to going 2-0 against his opponent (https://www.chess.com/game/daily/706496435) :

Marcos_Galue had 3 brilliant moves in 2 games. Here (https://www.chess.com/game/daily/706496331), he brilliantly sac'ed his rook for a pawn.

My good friend @Alfred42000 made a beautiful game-winning discovery: g

JCHWarriorZero's rook sacrifice is the right way to get a queen:

Borondo1981 captured a bishop with checkmate!

Great job Chris ! 2nd board is wild

Thank you and good luck. Hopefully not an old Benoni kind of wild 😜

RAPHAEL1127

Thanks Chris, great games!

My game?

Chris_E_S3

I will take a look my friend... So far the 'deal' was that you had to sweep. If I see greatness in your win though, I would showcase it here.

Chris_E_S3

I included a highlight from AussieJohn56's win above. (He is on our team.)

Chris_E_S3

Maohi_98's brilliancy is now included.

Chris_E_S3

@ginip1's beautiful knight checkmate is showcased above.

Chris_E_S3

Check out @Marcos_Galue sac'ing stuff like Tal in the latest addition.

Marcos_Galue

Thank you so much Chris, I was lucky to find it.

Chris_E_S3

I looked at it. He is supposed to play Ke8 instead of accepting the rook. But you are still winning.

Marcos_Galue

The real point would have come if pedcasal hadn't taken the rook gift and had played 1... Ke8!? instead. But then I think after 2. Qxg6!! Qxg1+ 3. Qxg1 Kxf7. But once again my initial criteria of taking advantage of the two undeveloped rooks in the eigtth rank against an active queen and the possibility to take the e6 pawn, I mean 4. Qg5 Re8 5. Qf6+ Kg8 6. f5 or 6. h4 would have given me the upper hand.

Marcos_Galue

That's correct!! friend. Amazig feedback through this forum. congratulations to all of you.

Marcos_Galue

Now that I remember my thoughts during this game, I recall a variation beginning with 2. Rxg6 (threatening the killer 3.Rg8+) and after 2... Kxf7 3.Rf6+ and once again the queen (through the c2-h7 diagonal) and the rook chase the black King.

Chris_E_S3

Alfred42000's great discovery is now included (above)

Alfred42000

Thank you Chris !

I knew he would have fallen nito this trap.

Chris_E_S3

JCHWarriorZero also got us a sweep and now we are 3 wins a draw away from winning the match. See his best move above to promote.

Chris_E_S3

Borondo1981 dominated as you can see in the diagram (see initial comment). Another sweep!
