I analyzed the games on lichess. I put Mistake Eraser's accuracy first and Bandibacsi's second. Game1 (https://www.chess.com/game/live/129235959261) 76 -53% Knight sacrifice mentioned by Ojala was correct. Mistake Eraser missed en passant capture but the game was already his. Game 2 (https://www.chess.com/game/live/129236041965) 75 -66 % Mistake Eraser is right to ignore the hanging c pawn. He played the best move. The game completely swung on 21. Be7. Bandibacsi is supposed to attack the bishop with Rd6 and instead he tried to trade off pieces given that he was up two pawns. 29. Rd8 is the best (as Nimish correctly called) but the position is already lost because Mistake Eraser's king is too close. It was interesting that Mistake Eraser had his king so close. Game 3 (https://www.chess.com/game/live/129236616413) 70-76% 11. Nxe4 was correct by Mistake Eraser, extremely clever move to win a pawn Moves 28 & 29, Mistake Eraser is supposed to play c5 (deflection) and he would have a huge advantage. He instead opted for a rook trade which gives eval of 0. The game was lost when Mistake Eraser did not play Kc6 or Kc7 (only moves!). Bandibacsi was absolutely correct that he could not win without Mistake Eraser's mistake in this pawn endgame. Game 4 (https://www.chess.com/game/live/129237164543) 61-63% Players got nervous in game 4. Mistake Eraser hung his rook on move 35. Bandibacsi didn't take it (he should have) and instead blundered back by moving his king, leaving his own rook defenseless. But Mistake Eraser had 15 seconds left and didn't capture it. He should have and would have had an advantage. Game 5 (https://www.chess.com/game/live/129237242063) 64-72% 26. Qxe5+ was correct. And Bg8# was correct. This game was more one-sided. Congrats to @bandibacsi66 on winning. And it was cool that both players did pre-game and post-game interviews.

I want to get your opinions on how to use the Games database in daily games (specifically vote chess). If you don't want to tell me how you use it because it is a precious secret of the trade, then you can message me or , at least, write a comment on how not to use it. There are two extremes: 1) you always choose the most popular move. One argument for this is basically that experts are picking that move so it is almost like they are voting in our game. Secondly, with the more popular move, you are also able to use the database further into the game. 2) The opposite extreme is that you pick the move that has the best winning percentage or win% minus loss% regardless of its rarity in the database. This is too extreme, obviously. Between these extremes, you could require that a certain minimum number of games or wins have been played with this move. There is also the idea of looking further into the database assuming the opponent makes some move (most popular or most successful) or considering all of the possible moves ever played in that position and seeing what the range of statistics are. I like to first look at the board and see what I would play without consulting the database and then try to confirm the accuracy of that move with the stats of the database OR I look at which moves in the database make sense to me and see their stats. I feel like picking the most popular move always can lead to losses. There are some openings where White will win if the popular moves are followed. It can even be that Black will usually win (I think there is a Marshall attack?).
