Group tournament

My fellow Athenians:

Are you interested in participating in a group tournament? We must keep in shape in order to beat the Spartans in future combats. (No Spartan ambassadors will be allowed in this tournament. Sorry, Billium Tongue out)

That's a great idea, Malko. We could try to provide feedback during the games - without necessary affecting the outcome of the game, of course.

While Billium# (the "Run, Forrest Run!" guy who never resigns) would be barred, there might be a place for Billium (the sensible resigning guy). He would surely respect any privileged information he learns. Also, we would be able to analyse HIS weaknesses (his play would be under the spotlight from several of us!) We might even be able to save him from his Dark Side.

All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts, ... i.e. Spartan and Athenian

Tournaments are just created by individuals, I think? There doesn't seem to be a mechanism for creating a tournament within a group. You are an admin of Chess Athenians. You could send a message to all members (since not everyone keeps keeps up with the group forum postings). Or, since this would presumably be an Invitation-only Tournament, you could use that mechanism to invite everyone in the group.

Go, Malko, Go!

I'm going to create a 6 player tournament. I'll post a message in the forum with the link. Ok, Billium cane' join. Laughing .Although he might be SI6 (Spartan Intellingence). We'll have to keep an eye on him.

I've created the tournament. Here's the link:

If more members are interested, I'll change the settings. Send me a message if you want to participate.

I'm going to send some invitations. If more members are interested, I can create a second tournament.
