I don't doubt the good intentions of haoming09 in this case, but indeed spectators are not supposed to talk, not even while pointing out the rules. This can be done by the mod, the TD, one of the players, or a federation memeber.

Correct. In this case, the 3 days is a default. If a TD does not mention a specific time control then 3 days is the default.
