Have I failed Duo, or has Duo failed me?

I just lost my 40-something day streak, because Duolingo isn't loading on any of my devices. It just puts me on this loading screen for eternity. Have I failed Duo the owl-bird thing-a-ma-bob?

Wildfire update: largest fire is 50% contained, we are on a statewide water shortage (fun!), my local reservation allegedly caught fire (I'm not brave enough to go there and confirm it), and when I thought the air quality couldn't get worse, it did. The air in my area stinks. Literally.

Why can't Florida gift us a tropical storm or two?
