Sort of. In early Minecraft (2009, beginning from when it was called Minecraft: Order of the Stone, until the Survival Test later that year, you could spawn mobs by pressing G) These mobs were Steve, and if you edited the model to have white eyes, you had Herobrine spawning with the key G.

they are called human and yeah they have the steve skin
bedrock is best
I play both but prefer bedrock because java is to easy

apparently now u can get herobrine by using mods but before herobrine just spawns
