No I’ll play on. I believe it can be saved by moving my angel directly next to my king. Which is what I’ll do. Not entirely sure what the notation for that should be since I’m mobile and the diagrams don’t work but I can post it tomorrow.
HoneDog match #1: BattleChessGN18 versus Pootzies
"No, I'll play on."
That's the best attitude I've seen in online gaming for a few months. ![]()
Before we play on, I need to mention something to you. Apparently, as I'm reminded from rereading the article, the Zombie's not the only piece that can Freeze enemy pieces with Fright: so can the Ball!
This Bulldog piece is a very powerful one.... a bit too powerful for a 10x8 board, in my opinion. You see, it can roll off the board and end on the opposite side and continue on. It can Freeze enemy pieces with Fright, just like the Zombie. It can move and capture like a Rook and move/capture by leaping 3 squares orthonogally.
I thought I sized it down enough for this match by depriving it of its Roll-around-the-board special ability. But, even without it... it's still too powerful!
~~~~~~~~
I'm taking liberties to do this, because this is only a HoneDog match (Iif this was a tournament and I didn't catch this before hand, I'd be the worst tournament host of the century!):
Do you consent to further deprive it of its Zombie Fright ability?
Yeah. I agree that the might be too powerful. Plus it might get boring since we already have the barricade. Pieces would all be locked up haha
I will be rendering next diagrams sometime tomorrow, Pacific Standard times. Right now, I'm preparing for a long road trip. Till then. Haha
Thank you ![]()
Again, think carefully!
Since this is a HoneDog, I'll leave another commentary: there's still a chance!
Yikes!! Blunder! (At least from my understanding, it is. lol)
I'm assuming the lumber jack isn't knocking my pieces back with this move. If it does I wish to play something else
(This is totally on an irrelevant limb. I just checked google dictionary on the word, "nescience". They listed "ignorance" as a part of its definition; like it's some identical synonym. It is not. Google definition has this wrong. "Ignorance" is when one has the information or the means to the information and, despite knowing it well, she/he chooses not to get it. "Nescience" is the mere lack of information, without prior means to be able to figure it out on one's own. So, if you google the word, do not trust it. "Nescience" has an element of innocence to it; "ignorance" does not.)
(Scary that Google, a major mainstream source of information, can teach wrong vocabulary to people who look up words with a mouseclick!)
