e4 is a better move than d4 in the beginning. e4 can lead to traps like the fried liver, or other openings such as the roy lopez or Italian game. d4 is played by higher Elo players because others don't know the lines as good. it can lead to traps you've never heard tell of like Englund gambit, or other complex openings played my GM, s. both are good and will lead to a draw if you play accurate enough, so none is better than the other. me personally I'm an e4 player but I do play stuff like the queen's gambit regular. I also like d4 players because I'm an Englund gambit player. as long as you play for the middle its a good opening. you don't even have to move them to the middle just that there attacking the middle. also remember to castle preferably king side because its way safer. id rather have a queen sided castled king than no castled king tho.
@banannapeelmaster123 will be inactive for most of the rest of the week. He asked me to do a daily forum of some sorts. I decided to do a hot take.
Hot take: e4 is better than d4.
