I'm hitting that button frequently. It's hard to tell the dividing line between intentional, unimplemented, and broken. I'm sure you'll let us know if it gets to be too much.
How to Leave Feedback on V3


I noticed a "bug" with the feedback button. If the element you want to report a bug on is a tooltip, moving the mouse to the "send feedback" button makes the tooltip fade. Is there a way to trigger feedback mode without mouse movement? Maybe a hotkey, for PC users? Not sure what you'd do for a touch user, other than maybe a multi-touch.

That usersnap thingy for feedback has just infuriated me immensely. I marked up a bunch of things in the window, made a couple of notes, then decided to resize the window before submitting the feedback and poof -- everything was gone (Safari under OS X, if this matters).
AAARRRRGGGGHHH!!!

I haven't tried resizing the window after markup, sort of understand why that would cause problems, but did have difficulties when the pop-up overlay for send feedback went on top of something I wanted to hilight.
I just made the window bigger and started over. Being able to move the pop-up overlay would be nice.
So, am I supposed to see a pop-up window when I click on Feedback?

It can be done. Enclosed 'before' and 'after' screencaps. Incidentally, image insertion does not seem to work in V3 -- I used V2 for this...

Would it be possible to receive confirmation emails for submited bugs and annoyances, including a copy of the submitted screen capture? I've filed a number of them, and now when I run across something I can't remember any more whether it was already reported or not...

@LegoPirateSenior - thanks - I'll try that next time it is needed. I suppose the "dash" in a box for minimize would be obvious for anyone who uses windows more than once a year or two. When the "usersnap" window would not allow itself to be dragged I just got frustrated.
I don't use Windows at all, but when testing UI (a part of may real day job), I tend to click on anything and everything that appears as if it could control something.
Here, I managed to issue a game challenge somehow in the process, despite never seeing a proposed challenge or confirming it. Still not sure how to reproduce this ... .

Whenever I click on the "Send Your Feedback" button, it just disappears, nothing happens.
It works on Internet Explorer, but not on my Google Chrome.

If you have popup windows disabled, that might be the cause.
I had an issue exactly like what you're mentioning with the contact support link, when they went from homegrown support pages to contracted pages.

I had the exact same problems as you with the board themes. They stayed in V2.
Regarding popups, there's no sign anything has been blocked but I'm sure it has to be some of my security software.

Something they probably want to fix... I also notice that in tactics trainer, when I make a comment, it shows up randomly somewhere else.

So I typed in that in the box thingy, [side note: If you click post, it skips to the next puzzle immediatly.] then took a snapshot. Then I go to v2, go to the "recent comments" section, and click the puzzle that I posted on. I got this:

So yeah, tactics trainer has a few bugs. Another one is this one:
Ok, here there are two things. Firstly, I found that usersnap works terribly with bad connection, because I found that it just loads and loads and loads but doesn't do anything. Also, quite amusingly, the "224.4%pass rate, and you can't see it, but I used 95 secs to solve, but average time is 25 secs, and I got 99%. Kinda funny.

The feature is not disabled (just) for you. It's disabled for everyone. The v3 website is in Alpha and it should be treated as such.
We are looking for good feedback from our users. A large majority of it has been absolutely wonderful! Features will come on-line when they are ready and we need some user feedback.

He's referring to the "Play" feature. The usersnap feedback is working for me on Chrome; what browser are you using?
