How to make the most use of this club?

I joined this club just a couple months ago to play in tournaments, get better at chess, and whatnot, but all the links they give, the forums, and the news is really outdated. (all the way from 2018!) I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how to make the most use out of this club with vote chess, matches, and tournaments. But whenever I check, they are never any matches or tournaments that are current and up-to-date. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! happy.png

The club seems to dead to me.

This club is for following the Pro Chess League, not for vote chess, etc.

Wait, what is the Pro Chess League? If you wouldn't mind explaining (sorry for my ignorance)

MGleason

It's an online tournament using rapid time controls.  It has its own website: https://www.prochessleague.com/

Also, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Professional_Rapid_Online_Chess_League

Ooooh!! Gotcha! Read the wiki page and the website happy.png Now it makes a lot more sense! Thank you so much!

Glad I could help!

Yes, if you're looking for something you can participate in, unless you're a very strong player, you're in the wrong place.  If you're looking for more open tournaments, you could try looking here, especially in the Individual section: https://www.chess.com/forum/view/community/league-tournament-clubs.

Thanks for your help! It is much appreciated!

Not really rapid time controls. Was 15+2 then they made it 10+2. 10+5 would have been better in my opinion.

Was also best when it was once a week on a Wednesday night.

White to move. Can white win?

no, because white's king has run away from the battlefield.
