Humanity Forum

Good day my friends
have a lovely Sunday and look the people in the colour of their eyes
not on the colour of the skin if you see them in the eyes you will
discover emotions, feelings, thoughts and these all have the
colour of humanity

Philoctetes in the homonymous tragedy of Sofocles shouts to Tilemachos whose ship was sailing past his desolated island
"You, stranger remember, man walks in danger all his life, if you are free from suffering watch out, open your safe life to the grief of others. Disaster strikes down the secure".
61 years old Slide Martins calls himself a “Knight of the Road",
I call him a Warrior of Light.

Light brakes where no sun shines is written on our avatar

Slide, who says he got his name because he was conceived in a playground, regularly offers games to the city’s “brightest and best" as a way of keeping out of trouble with the police. The chess games he offers mean he can’t be arrested for begging. He doesn’t charge for the games but accepts donations.

He told: “I do get beat occasionally but I mostly win. They are not very bright in Cambridge – they wouldn’t have to go to college if they were.”
Light brakes where no sun shines Karen is another homeless person and burst in loughs when she is asked what is her future in this world...

Now’s the time to “Give a Little Bit” Now’s the time that we need to share, so send a smile and show that you care. Never underestimate the difference a smile from the heart can make in this world. The Tsunami tragedy has brought up a lot of feelings for all of us. One of the ways I have found to help with fear and sadness is to share a smile and show that I care. When I do this from my heart to people I meet in my life, I feel better, happier and stronger inside. For those who can, now is the time to reach out and give of our time at one of the local organizations in town. And also know that simply smiling and showing that we care makes a big difference in the world. Lots of kids are showing up and helping in many different ways. Giving a little bit of our love, sharing a smile, and showing that we care is a basic teaching in life. And I believe even those that live halfway around the globe can somehow feel the love we give to them from our hearts. With love, Roger Hodgson |

Give a little bit — give a little bit of your love to me I’ll give a little bit — give a little bit of my love to you There’s so much that we need to share So send a smile and show you care
Give a little bit — I’ll give a little bit of my life for you So give a little bit — give a little bit of your time to me See the man with the lonely eyes Oh take his hand you’ll be so surprised
Give a little bit — give a little bit of your love to me I’ll give a little bit — I’ll give a little bit of my life for you Now’s the time that we need to share So find yourself — we’re on our way back home
Oh we’re going home Don’t you need, don’t you need to get back home Oh yeah we’re going back
We got to get a feeling Got to get a feeling Get a feeling right now
We’ve come a long way Oh what a long ride We’ve come a long way Oh can we sing it tonight |

I was a teenager when I wrote Give a Little Bit. Even then, the love that I was writing about was a universal love, not just a boy-to-a-girl type of love. This song is very special to me because its simple message is timeless. Give a little bit — give a little bit of your love to meI feel that giving a little bit of our love to each other is one of our main purposes in life. There’s so much that we need to share So send a smile and show you care One of the ways we can share is by showing that we care — showing compassion, comfort, and uplifting and inspiring each other. Gave a little bit — I gave a little bit of my life for you So give a little bit — give a little bit of your time to me We can express our love by giving some of our life to others, by giving of our time and self, and receiving others’ love in return. See the man with the lonely eyes Oh take his hand you’ll be so surprised Many of us feel lonely. When you see someone that is lonely, if you show that you care and reach out, it really makes a difference. It is very surprising the response that you receive — most often it will be love, happiness and gratitude. Now’s the time that we need to share So find yourself — we’re on our way back home I believe that one of the most important things in life is to find our self; our heart, our soul, our true purpose for being here. We head back home by finding our self and sharing our love. I believe we all want to go back “Home”, that place deep inside our self that is our heart, our true essence, our soul, God, Heaven — that place where we feel everything is right in the world, everything is ok, everything is wonderful, I’m ok and you’re ok. That place of oneness. We got to get a feeling Got to get a feeling Get a feeling right now When I sing about feeling, it’s the feeling of love I mean — that’s what we’re all looking for and what helps us get back home. We’ve come a long way Oh what a long ride The long ride is like the journey of life, and the song is about joining together in this journey. So tonight we can sing; we can find our way back home through opening our hearts and feeling the remembrance of our love. |
We come from Arabia, Egypt, Palestine, Syria;
the little state of Kommagene,
which flickered out like a small lamp,
often comes to mind,
and great cities that lived for thousands of years
and then became pasture land for cattle,
fields for sugar-cane and corn.
We come from the sand of the desert,
from the seas of Proteus,
souls shriveled by public sins,
each holding office like a bird in its cage
Seferis from "The last station"

God bless the thoughtful islands
Where never warrants come;
God bless the just Republics
That give a man a home...
Day long the diamond weather,
The high, unaltered blue --
The smell of goats and incense
And the mule-bells tinkling through.... Rudyard Kipling

not much but i always try my best to help.ive help kids/growing ups worst than this but to see them happy after giving small gifts.its priceless for me. :)

Kites flying on Gaza's sky on a peaceful day of Springtime... now it is summer and only missiles and rockets fly

and these smiling young girls who were going to school in Springtime, they don't know if they will be alive to go to the school next year or if they will smile again
is unbelievable what i felt today reading the news about what I have written yesterday in this forum, and I asked myself: is this the world that we want for the children? the hope of humanity?
http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jul/16/witness-gaza-shelling-first-hand-account
I thought that, If Humanity accepts children to die like this in any part of the world then I'm afraid the end of this world is very near

and in my mind came the last words of John F. kennedy's speech in Astoria Hotel in New York on 17 April 1961 " And so it is to the printing Press, to the recorder of man's deeds, to the keeper of his conciousness, the courier of his news. That we look for strength and assistance, confident that with your help man will be what he was born to be: free and independent."
16 October today Day of World Food

The story of seed has become one of loss, control, dependence and debt. It’s been written by those who want to make vast profit from our food system, no matter what the true cost. It’s time to change the story.

Freedom to the seeds
Seeds of Freedom charts the story of seed from its roots at the heart of traditional, diversity rich farming systems across the world, to being transformed into a powerful commodity, used to monopolise the global food system.
The film highlights the extent to which the industrial agricultural system, and genetically modified (GM) seeds in particular, has impacted on the enormous agro -biodiversity evolved by farmers and communities around the world, since the beginning of agriculture.

Seeds of Freedom seeks to challenge the mantra that large-scale, industrial agriculture is the only means by which we can feed the world, promoted by the pro-GM lobby. In tracking the story of seed it becomes clear how corporate agenda has driven the take over of seed in order to make vast profit and control of the food global system.
Through interviews with leading international experts such as Dr Vandana Shiva and Henk Hobbelink, and through the voices of a number of African farmers, the film highlights how the loss of indigenous seed goes hand in hand with loss of biodiversity and related knowledge; the loss of cultural traditions and practices; the loss of livelihoods; and the loss of food sovereignty. The pressure is growing to replace the diverse, nutritional, locally adapted and resilient seed crops which have been bred by small-scale farmers for millenia, by monocultures of GM seed.

Dr Petros Zografos has produced electricity and hydrogen from a glass of water with his "Cool Reactor" which burns water!!
so powerfull that is beyond comparison with any known source of energy up till now!
and most of all absolutely clean since the result is pure clean air
The advantage of this invention is totally green energy without polluting the environment without any cost, only a glass of water is enough
In this video dr.Petros Zografos opens the heart of the cool reactor
