Hyperbullet On Variants Server (Question For Admins)

So when the main server was shut down a few months back, we could either play on the Variants Server or the Test Server, I played a few games of 1/10 Hyperbullet on the Variants server, and got a rating of 1900.

Forgive me if this post should be in Variants, but will my rating conflict when 4PC moves to Variants, and how will you tell what's "4PC" and what's not after the move?

The only ratings that will be copied are standard 4pc rapid blitz and bullet. the other ratings are variant ratings (or combined like hyper), and will be lost. in variants, each variant will have it's own rating, not combined.  (and in variants each rating is further divided into rapid/blitz/bullet/hyper)

aw man...
does each varient having own rating mean a separate rating for war for throne and things like that or just a separate rating from 4pc, atomic, things like that

every single individual variant has a different rating for each time control it's played in, at least I think

so war for throne, war for throne 2 and war for throne chronicles each have different ratings? how does that make any sense

In variants, admins can create rating types.

So they can create a war for throne rating and use it for both war for throne 1&2. Or they could create a WOF rating and use it for the WOF tourneys.

Each rating is broken down into the 4 time controls (and also into teams), so when an admin creates a new rating type, this can lead up to 8 ratings/leaderboards. "Standard 4PC" is also just another rating type like any other. and the 8 ratings will be each time control, for ffa and teams.

Additionally, I invented a 'composed rating' system, which can be used as an alternative (esp. for custom variants). I will explain more about this in a later post.

This includes teams correct?

I think Chaturaji Variants will have their own category, War For Throne, etc

Yes, each variants can have it's own rating, and a rating is divided into rapid/blitz/bullet/hyper. having 4 ratings for a variant is on the one hand nice, because you don't just end up with hyper players at the top, or similar. On the other hand, 4 ratings are too many, given the number of games played. Question, what's the lesser evil? (players on chess.com/variants have complained about this sometimes)
