I am rated 2000 in puzzles as a 900 rated player - is it good?

I am rated 2000 in puzzles and 1600 in bullet and 900 in rapid and blitz. Is it good?
Please forgive me if it is just a mere step of progress.

well, at this rating, it is good that you can calculate in puzzles, but how long do the puzzles take, as if they take like 10 min, it is nice for classical, but in rapid and blitz they dont work out.

This is similar to me, I am 1000 ish in puzzles yet that rating isn't reflected in blitz, bullet, rapid, etc.

Well puzzles are good but real game experience is essential as well

Similar to me. I'm high 2300s in Puzzles but can't seem to break 1000. I've been stuck there for like a year or so

one thing i would like to point out here is that people have the misconception that if you are good at puzzles, you will be good at actual games... Sorry to break it to you but it's not entirely the truth. To get the fruits of your puzzles in actual games, you gotta create the situation aka the position in which your puzzle brain will activate. And to do that, you need opening knowledge and most importantly, a strategy, game plan. Although I myself am struggling with it right now at this very moment, I think the thing you have to do is not make blunders and stop worrying about tactical opportunities in the game. You can worry about tactics when you are rated 1400, 1500 or 1600 I suppose.

i am 2600 in puzzles , 2000 in rapid and 1600-1800 bullet. here's my take on improving

you are 2000 in puzzles which means that your tactics are well . so i don't recommend focusing on puzzles too much just do a few regularly to remain sharp . now you should focus on other things like making plans, spoting tactics in real games strategy etc

also don't focus too much on bullet as it worsens your rapid chess so if you are playing bullet only for fun, that's good . also don't quit bullet if you like it as everyone learns differently . i also enjoy playing bullet for fun only and rapid to improve.

im 600 ish on puzzles but im 130 on rapid is that good ?

It seems like this is how the disparities work in rating types.

you do not need to play puzzles as it is just like playing sudoku. It has an answer to every question

What do you mean? You're rated 2000 in puzzles, and that's translated to a 900 rapid rating. So if you think 900 is a good rating, then 2000 in puzzles is a good rating. If you think it's not, then it's not.

Interesting! Now the chess.com puzzle rating is inaccurate compared to your real rating. But I do think the rating lineup is ok, if you want to bump up your rapid and blitz, play a lot of games and take your time to study them after they're done.

how about this: 1200+ in rapid and blitz, 1000+ in bullet, 2100+ in puzzles(highest is 2300+ in puzzles)

seems good, just need to work on when you are playing a game, treat it like a puzzle, and you need to play puzzle rush to increase speed

i play puzzle rush - 5 min and my top score is 35 which is not bad(i think)
