I just played a blitz game and I didn't click the resign button, but then suddenly, it showed

Black won by resignation (I was playing white by the way)

How can this be possible???

No I didn't accidentally click the resign button

The only thing that happened is that some chess.com tournament popped up and then it said that I lost

is this a bug? I lost a lot of rating for no reason by this bug

snakelife12345

that happened to me too

snakelife12345

it was a rapad game

WarMasterVik

Can chess.com please fix this bug first out of all the many bugs?

This just lost rating for me.

I had a similar issue happen one time, (I was in a dead lost position, so It really didn't matter lol)

But, the issue is 100% a connectivity error. My internet is nothing short of garbage, and I often disconnect in middle of matches. Usually, it takes around 45 seconds until you auto-resign, so maybe that might be what happened, but this also happened to me, where my internet connection was bad, and 10 seconds later, after reloading the page, it had said I resigned. And if it wasn't a connection issue, I'm sorry, I don't know what it was. Hope you figure it out

Were you joined to a tournament at the same time?

This is one of those things that would probably be best to open a ticket on, but include all the above information.

It should be aborted then.

I don't think it looked like a connectivity issue as it was the opponents move. Maybe it still auto resigns you even if it is your opponents move but they were playing quickly so it probably would have auto resigned on his move. I don't know if this theory works but... maybe it isn't connection based.

Conurechess

do you have confirm resign on otherwise i can think of no other reason

Not what happened, I have excellent connectivity, it didn't auto-resign the way you said either

It was very strange

Not an auto resigned for me or my opponent

It just said that I resigned  and he won while I never resigned

I was playing in the Saturday Blitz marathon when suddenly another tournament popped up and then it just said I resigned

That's so weird
