Yeah. I signed up for a month, back in 2021, then thought, nah... I can do without bots (I hate 'em) and Game Review, etc. So I canceled, or tried to, then got a popup message offering me a free month. Turned out to be a good investment for them: I've been a Diamond member ever since, happily so. Those who complain should go try a few other sites. Lichess is better than most and, sorry, but Lichess sucks. I like it's story (Lichess's). I tried it. I tried to like it. Never happened. I'm grateful for chess.com. That's a fact.

this also happend to me i had the membership but after 1 month i canceled it but for more than 5 month i was diamond without paying the 559₹ every month before they canceled it and they didnt ban me or do anything to me because i was not my fault it was their system's fault for giving me diamond for 5 months free and when i investiagated into this i found many people have been banned for doing this repeatedly and i am diamond right now with the same hack
