how about a break from chess?
I'm pathetic
play a little less...don't move with your instincts, instead of 10 seconds, take 15 seconds to make a move...try to forget the past mistakes (hard)... and try to start with a winning mentality. At your rating, openings must be solid...concentrate on middle game tactics, that is all I can say...a forever 1000-1100 rated player....
One the best advice I've heard from my coach is to think after doing something, even if the capture looks obvious, you already memorised the opening, take a breath and watch the board, stop watching pieces and weak sides, your opponent is moving his/her pieces for some reason. Also, you are only losing online Elo, you are not in a competition when you are going to receive cash if you get a good place: Enjoy the game. My teacher is one FM anyway
i have a recently crisis in the chess, down 1700 to 1590, why happened this?, i see this and solved simple, study one summary of new themes, i was studying 1 theme per week, the do a summary and come ack study until i active all my elo again. and in ones days i come back to 1700.

I'm pathetic at chess. I don't know why this turned into a daily chess tilt rant but here we go. Today, I went from 1500 to 1465 in a short amount of time. It appears I'm not tilting, I'm simply extremely bad at chess to begin with, and my playing strength is probably hovering at around 900-1100 right now. We'll see if I drop under 1400, I honestly don't know at this point. Yep, that's it for today's rant, it's just that I'm a pathetic person.
Anyone who can give me advice and tell me exactly what's wrong, please do so. I need to regain my lost elo (~100 at this point) and climb to 1600 ASAP. But since I obviously does not have the mental resilience, intellectual ability, and most importantly, chess skill to reach it, I don't know why I say "need" (maybe cuz if I dont then I'll quit life). But still, if anyone knows a way, please tell me. In this chess disease I'm already terminally ill to the point where I'll even take questionable remedies. Idk how that translates to chess but yea. Alr cya, hope y'all good luck on your chess journeys, don't end up like me please.
you having tilt?

Dude I feel you I went from 1005 to 935 in one day
man, I've tilted 200 Elo and I ain't quitting yet, I recommend you play 30 min games, preferably on Lichess if you don't want to lose ELO. Then you will make less mistakes, since you have more time and make sure to play like you are in a tournament. Play in a good setting where you have good posture and you are comfortable, listen to relaxing music and I promise you, you will become much better.
Heisuke, first point: You don't suck. About 6 months ago, I was coaching you, and your elo was 700!! You're as good as me now, and it took me years! You doubled your rating in half a year!
That being said, if you want my advice, only play if you're calm, if you're slipping, up the time control a bit, and think more. When I was slipping like mad, I played 15+10 for 2 weeks, gained about 150 rating points, and then, when I was ready started playing 10+0 again. In addition, part of being calm is not being hard on yourself, and not having such high expectations. You need to give yourself a break. Last thing, coaching, one of the things that helped me most is a good coach, even if it's twice a month, by just paying $20 a month for an hour session, you'll see massive improvement, if you want me to give you a recommendation, message me.
