In 2nd one, why didn't black's bishop take white's pawn? Why did he need to check instead?

interesting sac for mate, I kind of like more the exercises of mate in 7, because I train calculation, but these are good for my confidence

@ProfessorPika After White plays Rcxc7, Black is losing the other bishop as well and Stockfish sees a mate in 14, while the given solution is only seen as +3 on about 30 depth.
