Im Jesse, 30yr old married white male. I come from the grey wastes of Weston West Virginia, I now living in Parkersburg WV. I have a BA in psychology from Berea Ky and I work as a Mental Health Technician at a private Hospital here in P-burg. My wife is a wonderful West Virginian woman who works doing in-home care of mentally challenged individuals. We work odd hours so it might be difficult for me to participate in tournaments...
I started playing when i was 15. I got my butt handed too me a few times (I placed 33/35 in my first tourny, and 32/34 in my second) and got serious when i was 16. I dont remember the name of my first chess book from the library but i remember what i learned from it! I placed 7th in my third, 3 in my forth (all JV division), and then got bumped up to varsity and placed horribly low in the states. I never took first in any tourney but plenty of 2nds and 3rds, my best result tying 2-9 (officially 7th by tie breaks)in the Wv States 1997. that was my last tourny :( Ive been playing on Yahoo sonce '97 under various names and hover around 1450-1500 range (ill drop to the 1300's occasionally).
I answer almost every thing with 1.X e6...trying for a french...as white i almost always play 1.d4 i love playing against QGA (Queens gambit accepted) and QG classical 2...e6...i dislike playing the slav set-ups and nimzo/queens indians. if 1.e4 then i love playing against my defense, The french, and Scillian set-ups...i dislike the Ruy Lopez and open games in general (1.e4 e5 2.nf3 nc6). I think the a6 square is the little square that could, and the e5 square is sexy...PAUL KERES IS A GOD! and Emanuel Lasker is the best chess player ever to roam the earth...
