Is it possible that you can get the Dangerous Intersection achievement?

I have played many dames of 4 player chess (FFA Modern) but never have gotten the achievement. Is it still obtainable

The achievement system is buggy. If you contact Support, they might be able to manually unlock it for you

i need help getting it cus no one ever joins unrated anyone

something similar happened to me i got diamond and i didnt get the diamond achievement for a few days and support didnt work

Achievements are awards for completing rare or difficult tasks. They unlock as soon as the action is performed.
To view your awards on the website, hover over the Chess.com logo at the top left and click on Awards. Then, click on Achievements on the right side to see your list. Click on greyed-out achievements to see how to unlock them.

On the app, tap on your profile picture on the top left of the home page. Then scroll to the bottom and tap on Awards.
If you didn't receive an achievement, that means it is no longer attainable due to website changes.
For achievements related to variants, check "achievements for variants".

To have the achievements for the variants automatically unlocked, you have to play those variants from the normal Live Chess server and not from the Variants server.
If you want to play those 4 variants (Crazyhouse, Bughouse, 3 Checks and King of the Hill) in Live Chess server, you just have to go to Play > Play online, then select Custom. Click on Standard to chose the type of game. You will see the 4 main variants there.
Unfortunately, the 2 awards for 4 Player chess (Dangerous Intersection and Battle Royale) can not be unlocked on the site anymore.

If it can't be unlocked anymore why is it there

The site hasn't removed achievements that aren't possible anymore in the past, though I think in this particular case, the achievement is just broken.
