A bit of a loaded question, depending on how one interprets it. A few months back, it was thanks to all of you that I got the owner's badge, and I knew that I would stick to my commitment to lead this club forward with a growing list of members on board.
But since then, what's happened that I created? A short string of matches, and a few promises. Then, I founded TAP (https://www.chess.com/club/the-aspiration-project). That ate away at my time to commit to the 3 other clubs I manage, including this one. After I got that off the ground, I made the risky decision to spend time on other clubs I help out in. This... wasn't well-timed on my part.
2 weeks after I made TAP, I went on a vacation, where I was offline the entire time. When I came back, I realized that I should prioritize life outside of chess.com. So I did. But I still have a bit of time each day. Problem is, it may not be enough to give you guys the club I promised you. The club you deserve.
I have no clue how this club kept on growing, but if (as the owner) don't do what an owner is meant to do, then I'm not living up to what I promised. To quote this club's description: "Among these events are regular team matches catered to different people, vote chess matches for casual audiences, a forum for Italian Game tips, and a steady stream of announcements, forums, and notes to keep you up to date."
I want what's best for everyone, so I ask you guys this question: Is it time to move on?
