Is netherite really useful?

Now, some people might disagree but netherite tools and armor does not significantly make it mine faster or protect more.

I know it does not burn in lava, reduces knockback and has more durability

Lava isn’t that important, you can survive long with prot IV diamond armor

Reduced knockback makes it harder in mace PvP because wind charges are less efficient

And more durability, you can fix your diamond tools easily but not netherite ones, so you almost always need to get mending

It is hard to get, you need to mine gold and debris, smelt them, go to a bastion and try to get an upgrade that’s %10 per chest and duplicate it for 7 diamonds - I think netherite is really expensive and not worth grinding

How are your thoughts?

idk

I play normally and don't focus on it. If I find an ancient debris, great, I'll use it.

It’s super important. Prot 4 netherite indestructible. Also very useful in crystal PvP. And bro I love how the helmet looks

The only good thing is that netherite weapons do more damage and also durability

also good for flexing

Well in mace pvp i use diamond armor since on bedrock edition yes it does have less of a boost with windcharges and diamond has much higher boost and due to that it makes netherite significantly worse but the tools are good since mending is not so hard to get and if you got netherite then probably you could get xp bottles since you will have a villager that can give that and on java edition netherite boosts you up way higher but still a bit less than diamond armor

I like netherite. THough it is hard to grind for

Avatar of fire_redonly

That’s why I find it not really needed!

It is too hard to grind, and you don’t get a significant difference from diamond - the durability increases but it also becomes harder to mend (getting diamonds for mending is easier)

Remember when the lodestone needed netherite to craft :/

Avatar of fire_redonly

It was useless to craft. No one would spend their netherite for a compass tracker that can be found in ruined portals, the most common structure

I think duplicated netherite upgrades are not worth it, because say you were going to make a netherite sword or axe. You could just save 4 or 5 diamonds by just crafting a diamond sword or axe, and it wouldn't be that much worse. As for armor, it might be useful to get max enchanted netherite boots, because if it has OP enchantments, along with unbreaking 3 and mending, the extra bit of knockback resistance and armor toughness might be useful in the long run.

The best part in my opinion is the reduced knockback especially in pvp.

In sword pvp, netherite armor is overpowered.

In some cases like mace pvp, diamond armor is important, and in crystal and normal sword pvp, I recommend netherite.
