Is playing blitz bad for me?

I have heard that playing blitz makes you a worse player. Is that true or not?

That is not true. Longer games help with calculation while blitz games help with intuition and tactics.

Yes.

It doesn't but it can make one develop not as good of habits and cause one to move too fast depending on how disciplined they are and much they also play long and take their time while playing it. It improves intuition, vision and tactics by allowing one to see them faster ive found but also doesn't give one the time to calculate or have the time to calculate as much as one does in long

I’ve improved far more from playing rapid than playing blitz

Blitz doesn't make you a worse player, but if you really want to improve then play rapid and analyze each game.

Playing blitz incessantly, for years on end, will most certainly hinder your transition to longer time formats. I've been trying to play OTB and the classical time format and I always revert to playing like it's blitz or rapid. Rewiring the brain is hard.

Blitz helps develop bad habits related to time management and deep calculation. If you are weak in these important areas, then I recommend playing no faster than 10 or 15 minutes online. Once you are consistent in your OTB slow chess, then blitz can actually be beneficial. Indeed, most talented young titled players are blitz demons.
