Lol who said that? In your position you can risk the long diagonal bishop trade or delay the trade and play the pawn to block and trade knights with Blue instead

well you're not screwed in this position, you just have to be VERY VERY careful, and it will be VERY unpleasant. It's blue's turn and blue will undoubtedly play 2. Bb7. You cannot play Nf6 because after green plays for example 2. Kg3, red and blue will play 3. Ba3 Bc6+ you are dead. Ne7 doesn't lead to any checkmate but your bishop will probably never see the light of day. f6 is the best try, but again, you are probably not going to be able to trade your bishop, and you will get destroyed if blue pawn storms you.
