Izyuu was cheating

not too long ago izyuu got banned from chess.com and got their atomic blitz whiped on chess.com. The following is the story of how it all happent

it all started about may 25 when i was looking into some old games were i gained alot of elo, i knew my higest elo gain was agenst izyuu so i looked for maches between us and i found it, but i also found myself beating izyuu while she was a 1900. That got me thinking, how fast did she become a top 2 atomic player. And so i did some digging and made a grath over her elo over time. as you can see her atomic rating is normal, until it spikes and she gets 400 elo in about 2 weeks, whitch is extremely suspicious. This should not be pauseble but here it was. When i saw this i immediately knew something was not right and i began asking around the comunity. I got opinons fron: caavt, eagle on high, lutobida, znightmare and wyvy. We all agreed that something was not quite right and as eagle said "trust, but verify.". With this i asked izyuu herslef and she said that she agreed it looked sus and explaied with the following

so basically what happened is i was playing on and off and then pulled a caavt
and i think i played around 1000 games in like three days while i was traveling for college
i was SUPERRRR active around then and started playing on filter lol
sorry i had to adjust my voice settings bc typing too loud lol
basically lichess is where my school practices
bc i play on a chess team for normal chess
so i played on lichess for nearly the entire time"

she then offered to play me and explain her moves and why she played them to me. However cuz of the fact she was super bussy with a trip and our timezones were so different we never ended up playing those maches, but i stil got a secret mach with her. Wyvy and i were in VC and they played some games agenst izyuu, those games were very sus. In those games izyuu played top engine moves almost the entire time. Even the opning was very slow and she claims to have memorized the first 8 moves of nf3(whitch was played by wyvy) and she stil took 3-5 secounds every move. When it went off she stil took the samme anount of time with perfect acctursy. If you analyze the games you have to keep in mind the time she used, cuz some moves she used 3 sec of time before making the moves, but after analizying for 5 sec the engine gave a difrant move. this lead to even more suspision from me after seening those games. With all of this evidence I went to a staff member that eagle on high recommended. After messaging the staff member they gave a replied saying they have contacted a admin which then leads us to today. There is even more to the story but this is already long so u can ask me for more info.

The graph below is of izyuu’s HIGHEST elo and x is days. The reason why some of it is in - is cuz that’s when I think izyuu is legit.

1: how do you check that?

2: she stil got her atomic blitz rating reset, so it must have something to do with it.

i just checked, it says "Lukket: Computermisbrug" in that's danish and translates to "closed: Computer misuse"

Thank you very, very much, PandaFrame! I really appreciate what you've done. I never wanted to suspect izyuu -- she was really nice -- but I couldn't help suspecting her, at the same time. I've posted more detailed thoughts on the Atomic Chess Theory main page.

@PandaFrame, I am interested to hear more. What happened after you contacted the admin, for example. What you refer to above but "it already was a long post..."

Since when the moderators finally took action to ban cheaters? 2 years have passed and they finally did something, or did she/he delete the account?

there are somethings i made that were not mentioned in the full story.
1: i made a more complicated version of the grath whitch includes a trendline 
2: i made a graph over caavt's progression(they asked for it) and i compared the two
3: there is some more sus things about izyuu like how she does not reveal her lichess account, how she has a low bullet rating and how she says she did not play during certain perioids of time when she did play.
4: the staff members response was "

I really didn't want to think she was cheating. We had a long conversation about all the top schools that she said she had gotten into -- to start college this fall. We had a discussion about her heritage. She is a competitive violinist, I think. Unless that was a lie, too. Now I don't really know what to think. She taught me the word "eudetic" -- to describe memory. That's how detailed her description of her memory was. She went into great detail about it. Sigh.

I wonder if she tried to contest the admins' judgment that she was cheating. Did she argue with them? @PandaFrame, do you know?

@Panda, it sounds like they just banned her and closed her acc't without telling her very much. For some reason I thought she'd be notified....

Maybe if moderators will do their job with cheaters, somehow I'm going to be shifted from 40 places to 20, like in the old days
But I'm guessing 2500-2600 is too much, observing the history of the lichess atomic ratings, it's going to reduce about 150-200 for each player.

@Santa, I tend to agree. One exception might be someone like caavt, who seems to play tons and tons of games, and if I remember right, has a very high ratings deviation (RD) as a result. When I played izyuu post "her improvement", it was totally like playing an engine. I got creamed. But when I last played caavt, it was a pretty normal game. I got a normal advantage, and he played well to try to get back to equality. There was a scramble and I won. It felt like a normal game.

I meant that caavt seems to play lots of games against much lower rated players.
