@Kookaburrra posted this example for several similar messages to club members in a Club Admins forum:

.

For me the above message is just an example for one of hundreds of good reasons for communication between an club admin and different members of a club via direct messages: As far as I can see it looks to be completely legitimate and unsuspicious of having anything to do with "promoting clubs".

As positive it looks to be, that Chess.com is underway to find a way to reduce the risk of muting admins, their filter continues disturbing club admins, who want to do their usual communication, which is very often done to manage activities of members just "in time".

Until now there is no clubs progress update for this week. 🤔

A large portion of staff was at a company meeting this week so there may not be any post this week.

@Martin_Stahl: Sounds somehow logic: No work, no update.
Seen our long lasting and important difficulties, this looks to be a bit slow, doesn't it?

If there was a company meeting this week, what have they discussed and decided there to better the situation of clubs, their admins and leagues?

Avatar of Martin_Stahl

I can't answer if any discussions were held on clubs or not

Avatar of Tournamentix

@Martin_Stahl: Sure. You were not there, right?

What about @jdcannon and some update after the important "company meeting this week"? Should be a very good reason for some clubs progress update, shouldn't it?

Avatar of Martin_Stahl

My guess is there won't be any updates and next Friday there will be something posted.

@Martin_Stahl: Thanks for confirming, that clubs, their admins and leagues aren't important at all for Chess.com. If "every friday" is the same than "this, the next or another friday" that does not sound to be the same.

That is not what I said.

For test purposes I've set up this Arena with eight eligible scorers. Situation is still as follows: Only the online shown results take this setting into account (and showed the winning team with 179 points). Their first eight players scored them, five more players scored another 16 points. To complete confusion: After an Arena no one can check any longer its settings.

The first point is already part of the list in comment #55. The second one should be added:

  • Show all parameters of completed Multi Club Arenas.

That's, how promotion for club events should be: If you're in a club, which has an upcoming or ongoing live competition, this is shown on your start page. Just one click and you cain join:

Tiny friendly actions like this one significantly increase participation in club events.

What's the situation on Chess.com? Players' start pages have been and still are voided.

Once again: Until now there is no clubs progress update for this week.

I think @jdcannon was off today (and maybe a couple of days this week)

Last "Clubs Progress Update" has happened fifteen days ago.

Probably Chess.com redesigned some additional options to understand previously precise words like "every friday" or – more general – "weekly".

Curious to know, how long this current redesigned week will last.

Just a reminder to September's announcement to "provide a high level weekly summary" ...

Three weeks without any "Clubs Progress Update":

To be fair the work day hasn't even started in America.

@MasterMatthew52: Yes, you're right. The only three times @jdcannon posted weekly updates he did this very early on Fridays. Screenshot shows, that since the last "weekly" update more than three weeks have past now.
