Known problems, which club redesign should solve

@Kookaburrra will need to contact support regarding that.
You should always contact support when you are muted. At times, it is an auto mute by a bot and can be sorted out quickly.
If it had been an over zealous auto-mod I could have handled. It wasn't, so only staff will be able to handle.
I think, Chess.com simply should solve all the problems, that they are "offering" to clubs, their admins and leagues.
@Kookaburrra is admin of an official league. She deserves better than being told, that she could write to Support and wait some days (remember, it's weekend again) ...
This simply is unworthy and has been going on for far too long.

It was a mute by staff and can only be unmuted by staff.

Thanks for clarification. Let's guess, what a very active club and league admin might have done or said, which makes it necessary to suppress all their content in their clubs and competitions.
As already summarized in comment #45 (right now, without those from @Kookaburrra):
Club communication:
- Reduce risks for clubs admins being muted
- Create a real „Help Access″ (24/7) for muted club admins
- Make sure, that content of Super Admins don't get hidden in their clubs
- Make sure, that content don't get hidden in competitions
- Design and develop a tool, which allows sending messages to defined groups of members (e.g. „online now″, rating from x to y, at least x games played for the club, already having played in matches with „defined text″ in match names, excluding [member name, member name ...] ….)
"It was a mute by staff and can only be unmuted by staff."
That sounds like the member, perhaps unitentionally broke a chess.com rule? In any event, the muted member should contact staff and sort this out. Hopefully she was not muted in error.

I know the last bullet item is something planned but will likely take a while.
Any other major change in how mutes are handled, also likely will take time if the site decides to modify that process.

Well, Joakim ...: How many club admins do you know, who were muted for some good reason? How many club admins do you know, who were muted without any relevant issue? How long do you think should we continue to beg around to be treated as generally useful members of "the community"? Seeing GM Thorsten Michael Haub being muted for his usual club activities was a very bad day on Chess.com. He decided to send support a farewell message instead of begging and I can fully understand this decision.
Too many of us have already been muted for nothing ... and this should clearly end as soon as something relatively easy like this is finally possible for Chess.com. If they want to treat club and league admins friendly, with some respect and support, they will find a way to do so ... one day.
I do agree that temporary restricting sending of PMs is much preferrable than bot muting when it comes to sending many PMs which admins often do. I do not know if you still can get auto-muted for suspected spamming anymore? I have only been temporarily restricted for sending PMs during the last 2 years or so.
The reasons admins at times sends so many PMs is that they need to confirm eligibility for applicants or encourage members to join a team match.
If an admin is manually muted, he/she should contact staff. If he/she has done nothing wrong and give staff permission to read private PMs, this should be easy to get resolved.
If he/she has, perhaps un-intentionally, vilated a technical aspect of terms of service, and promise not to do so again, this should also be easy and fast to sort out.
But the muted member has to contact staff.
"But the muted member has to contact staff." Yes, that's the reason, why I propose to get an equal "Help Access" for all club admins, which will react as soon as any possible on seven days per week ... as messaging Support is by far to slow and simply unworthy.
In at least 80% for all cases I have knowledge about, club admins were either auto-muted as a "false positive" or for some of these many inconsistencies in the long list of forbidden words. As it is relatively unlikely that they get muted for some good reason, they should not be as badly treated as they are for very long time already. And, once again: Hiding their content is by far the biggest part of the problem.
And, Joakim, as I've already tried to explain several times: There are some hints, that admins aren't treated equally: Some get muted again and again for near to nothing and others never realize any limits for their activities: That's a huge problem, if you try to manage a competition.

You're completely right. That's, why Chess.com should start with the first four bullets. This can be probably done immediately: Chess.com only needs to wish being friendly, respectful and supportive.
I only wish Staff would spend as much time on fixing multiple glitches and downright abusive peope who hang around here as they do by muting decent, paying members like @kookaburrra who put a lot of selfless effort into this place. Is inviting club members to play matches such a crime? In the meantime, not only is the mutee left out in the cold, but significant amounts of content are lost to all other members who need it. I really get a great deal of pleasure out of this place and love putting in a lot of time running clubs and leagues etc and will continue doing so indefinitely, but will never pay a cent towards membership again, this I swore to myself many years back due to the many times I have been dissatisfied with how things are run and how some people seem to be able to cheat and return, be abusive and remain etc yet good people are treated like lepers cos they are trying there best to make things work.

None of 27 remaining points are in progress.
By the way: Several comments disappeared.
Looks, that at least @Kookaburrra got muted again.
