I’d like to point out that it was an AOOO, and my reaction was grabbing his foot.

As he grabs my foot I punch him in the face with one hand and hit him in the stomach with the other

Ah, here’s where the fun begins. You see, I’ve got you right where I want you.
I shift all my weight towards you against your foot and leg in such a way that if you don’t hobble backwards, you fall. Your leg is longer than your arm reach, presumably, so from this position you can’t punch me.
I jump backwards and yank my foot back
You try to jump backwards, but hitthepin is holding onto your foot, so I'm not sure if that works.
You try to jump but he holds on tight and you end up stumbling backwards.
I kinda forgot this existed

You clip him with his fist as he rolls away but you hurt your wrists trying to stop the fall.
