LIKE WHY

So i was in a bastion looking for neth templates, and i didnt even open any chests or anything, i had gold armor, and most of the brutes were chill, but then one random one got angry at me idk why and so yeah i lost a lot of stuff lol

It is a piglin brute. They always attack without checking anything

If its a normal piglin, then you accidentally hit it, opened a chest (your own chests count) or stayed too close to it (1-2 blocks)

also opening shulker boxes or trapped chests or copper chests or barrels or any kind of storage method basically

And ender chest, its probably the most annoying

idk, all I know is chest & shulker box, including your own placed ones, but I conclude that this also means chest boat, chest minecart, ender chest, barrel, and all the others

For your next time for a bastion raid,

• Brew fire resistant potions

• Wear gold helmet + iron/diamond armor

• Get a lot blocks (example: 4 stacks of netherrack)

• Bring a lava bucket, a bow and arrows, sword, shield, golden apples and a stack of food

• Use a hopper to vanish the chests.

• Don’t get close to any piglin, if you see a piglin brute, pillar up and pour a lava bucket.

• If you hit any piglin or brute, they will all attack you.

• Plan the raid before starting, learn the tactics and places of the chests generate with a tutorial video

I don’t agree on this. They can be quite annoying but makes it hard to raid bastions too.

If there was no brutes you could get netherite, upgrades, diamond gear with a piece of gold armor.

They balance the bastions.

Good loot → hard to acquire

Bad loot → easy to acquire

Hah me and a friend just did a bastion (treasure) and he died like 2 sec after entering. He nearly killed me too all the brutes ran after him but some fell onto my level and came after me. I survived on 2 hearts after being chased by 3 brutes
