We will start with an example of Nimzowitch's concept of overprotection:

We should probabl start with 4.Qg4

The first move that looks bad to me for black is 14..h6 I think 14..b5 is a much better move.

The main thing that stuck out in this  game to me is the decisive queenside pawn march.

I think that 4.Qg4 was played so that the queen can support the e5 pawn without blocking in the bishops. But after 4.Bd3 he could put the queen on e2, saving a tempo. What are the benefits of having the queen on g3?

I like having my queen on the g-file. On 7.Qg3 white pins blacks king's bishop (which was horribly passive in this game) to the protection of the g7 pawn. Also, there isn't any clear way as to how black can get the queen off of the g-file thanks to the pawn on e5.

I like 9.h4, it kicks the knight that attacks his strong point, and clears a square for his bishop.
