i got a perfect score at state AND qualified for nats spelling bee but both cancelled because covid
and i performed so badly in mathcounts the next year, probably because online did something to my brain or whatever (we didn't even have spelling bee so i lost my chance to brag that i went to nats)

well in oregon all our teams are trash there were like three actually good middle schools and then there was our team which consistently won 1st or 2nd place each year

that's like top 10, top 20 of middle school students in the entire NATION
