Hi! I'm James. Used to play rarely but was inspired to play, learn and improve on a regular basis-online and in person-within the past year. Reading about the game and how it keeps the brain sharp as a sport is what inspired me! It's been a great and really fun experience so far learning the basics of moves and tactics and I've really enjoyed being part of this group so far getting better every day. Great getting to know everyone in the process.
Meet and Greet. Introduce Yourself =D

Hey, I’m Alessandra. My dad taught me chess when I was little and I’ve played on and off my whole life for fun. Looking to meet people with similar interests, currently finishing up my degree in applied math glad to be here

Hey y’all,
My name is Steven but most folks call me Flow. I’m an avid music lover and am currently based in NYC, where I’ve spent much of my life. My introduction to chess came in 2nd grade when I was about 7 or 8 playing for my school’s chess team. We had a really good team and I competed in a few tournaments. Won a trophy or two at the novice level, but never became one of the best players on the team.
Not long after continuing to play in middle school, I ended up leaving the game behind. Thanks to a new associate of mines, I’ve become active on this app and am rekindling my love for the game. Looking forward to being active within the club and playing some games with each of you.
Peace
Hi everyone!
Thanks for joining. I thought it would be great to have a space to tell a little bit about ourselves and welcome new members
My name is Caressa. I grew up in the Philippines and immigrated to NYC when I was 15. I learned chess when I was a kid but stopped for many many years until Queens Gambit came out on Netflix. I realized how much I missed the chessboard and the thrill of the game. So I have been playing more in the past year. I started the club to meet and bring together fellow adult chess enthusiasts and players.
Looking forward to meeting you!
Cheers,
