Meeting places in Hong-Kong for chess in person

Hi,

are there some places in HK where Chess players go if they want to play in person ? I am not thinking of a club, more like some place for casual chess playing. I have found some places for Chinese chess of course but not for western chess.

I think there are some casual meetup groups you can find on Meetup.com that meet regular in the same place. But I didn't find a park or anything with tables laid out, ready for games.

I dont think there's a place where casual chess is played every day, but you can look for some free chess events/ meetings online. For example, there's a chess event in sham shui po sports centre tomorrow for free from the hong kong chess federation

I tried though Chinese chess in HK once, but I feel it awkward to have pieces restricted in some place. I guess I am too much used to Western chess.

I am in France, I have heard there are a lot of Hongkongese in Manchester close to Kirkham, is that true ?

Someone should suggest a place to play. Always more fun moving physical pieces. The problem is finding a venue with tables.

yes they have regular meetings on Fridays. About 6-8 boards filled with people.
