I think there are some casual meetup groups you can find on Meetup.com that meet regular in the same place. But I didn't find a park or anything with tables laid out, ready for games.

I dont think there's a place where casual chess is played every day, but you can look for some free chess events/ meetings online. For example, there's a chess event in sham shui po sports centre tomorrow for free from the hong kong chess federation

I tried though Chinese chess in HK once, but I feel it awkward to have pieces restricted in some place. I guess I am too much used to Western chess.
