That it has never been a question of God or science, of God or evolution; each is a standalone within reality that needs to be looked at separately and apart from the others. Because they all can be true at the same time, and one does not make any of the others false.

What we believe to be the case as a matter of fact should be guided and supported by the available evidence. This is the guiding foundational principle of the scientific method.

When it comes to things about which there is a matter of fact, religious doctrine is of very limited use.

This is true for all of them not one over the others.

Then the religious status of scientists is entirely irrelevant when it comes to their work and the position they take regarding the origin of our species should be appropriately open-minded.

The thing we should focus on are the hypotheses are they sound, based on what we concider reality. Our foundation axioms are they true and based upon trivergent streams of solid evidence, instead of sweeping unfounded assumptions that must blindly followed with no means of falsifing the foundational assumptions.

None of that has anything to do with a person or their worldviews. If you find you are dismissing anything outside of the object under the discussion and the data surrounding it. You are simply looking for a reason to dismiss without taking anything anyone says who disagrees with you sereously.

Individuals are free to form any opinion they want and to believe as fact whatever is most convincing for them.

I choose to believe that there is an explanation for the emergence of life and it may yet be found but it's best to allow the research to continue and build upon existing knowledge. I'm not aware of any great urgency in finding the answer.

I believe life began but how? What is a reasonable explanation that makes sense with what we know now? Well with respect to urgency our end has much to do with how we began.
