That server is horrible.
There are no rules, LITERALLY. If you enjoy cursing and griefing and horrible Minecraft bullying, go there.
Also, I am reviving this thread because the duck can do whatever he wants.
Also, check out Guardian Skies! It is the BEST Skyblock server ever in my opinion. It also has Towny, Factions, and Prison! I have a Skyblock shop, so you might just find me somewhere...

Anyone know what piratemc.com is? Well its a pirate themed server with working ships, cannons, turrets, construction equipment, and stuff like that. If you like blowing stuff up or stealing from people who do the blowing stuff up, go ahead! In my opinion this server is awesome.
Do you want to know how to get a good start in Factions?
Step 1: Ask to join a Faction. Make sure the faction has a home.
Step 2: Once you have joined a good faction, find where the chests are. Then, take a quick peek to see what you are going to steal. Don't take anything, as to gain the faction's trust.
Step 3: When the faction members aren't looking, go to the chests. If the path to the chests is guarded, dig to them from above.
Step 4: Loot what you need.
Step 5: Warp to spawn before someone finds you and hits you.
Step 6: Leave the faction.
Step 7: PARTYYYYY

If I want to succeed in factions I just try to head to some random cords, say x=20.000, z=20.000, away from ANY other base or player's traces, build a base and start a faction on my own
Stealing the way you described is just... unethical, it's ruining the game for the rest of the players. That's why people don't take random players into their faction.

I've been playing on a great Survival Games server one of my staff member friends from the late MCGamer Network started. The IP is play.orionmc.net, and even though they're in an open beta working on development for a new update any new players and support would really help these guys out! They care a lot about their community and doing what is best for their server so please give them a look and your feedback
