Miniatures!

Do any of you paint your own miniatures? If you do then why not post some images? I used to paint them many years ago and I have recently bought some new models and paints and I hope to start again soon.

when I was a kid, my best friend's dad was president of the Ontario tin soldier club. He must have had a million of 'em. And he would teach us how to paint our figures. I wish I still had them. Or even pictures.
He was amazing! A retired tank commander, sweater-vest, pipe, pocket watch. Painting tin soldiers in the garage.
He built a balsa wood castle for us kids that would blow your mind. It was on top of an old chest of drawers, and if you fell through a trap, or descended a staircase, you would open the next drawer, and the next level of the dungeon was built inside! I wonder whatever happened to it.

have you seen HERO-FORGE? They do custom made figures with 3D printing. Any favourite character can be made into a miniature! I haven't got one yet, but I'm drawing up my favourite ranger to try it out.

I've been having trouble communicating with the company, I don't think they're all that "stable" yet. But they will apparently be at some of the big fan-cons this summer, so I'm hoping face to face we can make it work. I don't have a scanner, but I'll post some of my drawings when I'm at work, then HOPEFULLY I'll post a picture of the miniature one day.

I used to buy "military modeler" magazine for lessons on how to paint miniatures, but now there are dozens of websites.
