Yep. A lot of people hate it, but I kinda liked it. There was some humor, pretty good action, and interesting overall, but not on par with the original cartoon movie in regards to quality

maybe a 5. It fell short in a lot of areas

Disney lives imo are usually worse than the cartoon versions. Also I didn't watch Mulan because of the cost

I wouldn't put the blame on the actors. Disney had a lot of big name actors (Asian actors) and yet the film still failed. I honestly put the responsibility on the script writers

I've seen many posts that argue that the storyline exaggerates certain aspects of Asian culture/tradition more than it needs to, then sounds really un-Asian in between. It's receiving a lot of criticism for basically having non-Asian script writers who don't really know what they are doing

It's not like the actors can do much from the script they have to follow. And the background for the villains was super vague and undevelopedÂ
