This tournament is open for everyone. It is a single elimination bulldog chess tournament
Rules:
The first 8 players to register gets to participate in the tournament. Just say "join" in this forum to enter.
The games will be bulldog chess with witch and guard. Rules for this variant can be found here. A more detailed explanation of the witch can be found here.
Games will be rated and follow the correspondence rules posted here.
If a game ends in a draw, then the players will play a new game with reverse colors.
After pairings have been posted a player will have 14 days to show up. Failing to show up within those 14 days may result in the game being lost by forfeit (however, the player should also receive a warning at least three days prior to the player losing by forfeit).
The top 2 highest rated players will get seeded and the rest randomized.
Colors will be picked mainly for even color distribution (aiming for players to have equally many white and black games).
The tournament will start after at least 8 players have registered or December 1. Some players may receive a bye in the first round.
