Welcome back to Musical Monday!

Today, I want to share this very tragic piece of music: Chaconne in A minor, by Vitali Big contrast from last week's classical piece right?

For any music nerds who are interested: A chaconne is traditionally an old dance that goes in 3/4. However, in violin playing, these chaconnes are now often played the style of romanticism, though there are a group of musicians that strictly play in the period style. I tend to think that the the style of romanticism suits the Chaconnes well, because it works well with the sorrowful vibe of the music. For example. one of the most famous pieces written for violin was by J. S. Bach, and it was a chaconne that he wrote right after his wife had passed away. My favourite rendition is by Itzhak Perlman, those chords sound so rich with emotions!

Anyway... I'll stop yapping now 😅 Hope you enjoy the music and I look forward to listening to the music you guys will share!
