No NSFW Content – Keep it clean and appropriate. 11. Mods/Admins Have Final Say – If an admin makes a decision, respect it. 12. Enjoy & Stay Chill – This is a place to have fun, improve at chess, and vibe with fellow players.

Today, I share with you Albinoni: Oboe Concerto No. 2, Op 9. It's the oldest piece of music I've shared so far from the 1600s it has kind of like a "medieval" vibe to it I think!

Hi everyone and welcome back to Musical Monday! Today, I share Antiche danze ed arie per liuto P. 114: IV. Italiana for piano! I used to do this series in another club for a while, and the following is what I wrote about it at the time: "Today, on my way home, it was raining, and I feel this recording kinda evokes that introspective/reflective feeling I had when I was in the tram at the time." But today that's not the case 😅 it's sunny and warm, as all summers should be! Anyway, hope you enjoy the music!

So I was supposed to share this last week but I kind of forgot😅 Anyway, here is Joplin: The Ragtime Dance, arr. by Perlman Someone commented this in the comments section: "The Ragtime Dance display vigorous tempo creating an image of 'what the hell, let us enjoy life and dance to the beat...' Lovely rendition!". I think it's pretty accurate and I hope you enjoy this joyful piece of music!

Welcome back to Musical Monday!  Today, I want to share this very tragic piece of music: Chaconne in A minor, by Vitali Big contrast from last week's classical piece right? For any music nerds who are interested: A chaconne is traditionally an old dance that goes in 3/4. However, in violin playing, these chaconnes are now often played the style of romanticism, though there are a group of musicians that strictly play in the period style. I tend to think that the the style of romanticism suits the Chaconnes well, because it works well with the sorrowful vibe of the music. For example. one of the most famous pieces written for violin was by J. S. Bach, and it was a chaconne that he wrote right after his wife had passed away. My favourite rendition is by Itzhak Perlman, those chords sound so rich with emotions! Anyway... I'll stop yapping now 😅 Hope you enjoy the music and I look forward to listening to the music you guys will share!

I've been playing the violin since I was 6 years old, so I think it'd be fun to introduce you to some classical music (don't worry, I won't pick anything too "sophisticated")! This is Triakontameron No. 11, Alt Wien, by Godowsky. I think it gives off "café in Vienna" vibes.
