My Archive Returns an Internal Error Yet Other Player's Archives Work

Sort:
Avatar of Mouselip

If I try to click on a monthly archive at:

https://api.chess.com/pub/player/mouselip/games/archives

I get an error:

message    "An internal error has occurred. Please contact Chess.com Developer's Forum for further help https://www.chess.com/club/chess-com-developer-community ."

I have looked at the archives of some of my friends and do not see that error. For example:

https://api.chess.com/pub/player/perezdrew01/games/archives

The only one I can't get to work is my own! Any ideas why that would be?

I can see the archives, but when I click on any of them I get the error. This happens in Firefox and in Brave... but only on my archive.

https://api.chess.com/pub/player/mouselip/games/archives

Gives me a list of archives 0 thru 95.

But the link for 10 is

https://api.chess.com/pub/player/mouselip/games/2017/12

And I get:

"An internal error has occurred. Please contact Chess.com Developer's Forum for further help https://www.chess.com/club/chess-com-developer-community ."

When I click that archive link for 2017/12

oh yes, this has happened to me some times, it usually gets fixed, maybe someone from staff is making some changes, try later

I am not a chess.com dev and do not know for 100% certainty, but i think it is because you played too many games in that month and the internal error is a timeout, because it couldnt send you all the data in a given timespan.

It's not just that month. It is every monthly archive.

I have so far tried all of 2017, 2018, and 2019. It started working only in 2019.

Avatar of Mouselip

It started working again only starting in May of 2019

Then it is sporadic. But I haven't found the problem with any other archive except my own.

BTW, this only started happening today. I have been able to access every monthly archive in the past.

Broken endpoints are becoming increasingly common, so you'll probably have to wait patiently and hope the problem corrects itself.

I hope so

It works for me

Still doesn't work for me on my own archive. ... nor does openingtree.com work for my username.

In fact I can see a full archive of results when I open in my browser, so I'm assuming it works normally for me. Still faulty?

Avatar of Mouselip

I can see the archive list but most of them return an error when clicked. Chessinsights.xyz downloads about 2000 games when there are actually over 4500 in the game archive. Openingtree.com just stays at zero.

Also @Jordi_Agost has a new web app and when I try to run it on my username it says

"Insufficient Data

Minimum 5 recent games required for analysis."

I am seeing https://api.chess.com/pub/player/mouselip/games/archives fine. Send info on the version of Jordi_Agost app and I will try to reproduce the error.
